To the Remembrance of God

O you who have faith! When the call is made for prayer on Friday, hurry toward the remembrance of Allah, and leave all business. That is better for you, should you know.

Surah al-Jumu’ah, 62:9

About

Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Hamidreza Jalali has led the Friday prayer of Sowme’eh Sara County, in Iran’s Gilan Province, since 1401 in the Solar Hijri calendar. Before that he served for several years as the Friday prayer leader of Gurab Zarmikh, a town in the same county.

What the published reports of these years show is a steady ministry lived close to the people: leading the Friday prayer and delivering its sermons, standing with the families of martyrs and with veterans, taking part in the cultural and educational life of the county’s schools and university, supporting religious assemblies and volunteer groups, and meeting residents and shopkeepers face to face.
